At GNG, we believe that a successful project must be built off the back of a fundamental dedication to safety. Safety comes first and foremost in every decision we make, from the head of the company down to our subcontractors and partners. For us, safety is about much more than liability and regulations; it’s about a dedication to the well-being, happiness and productivity of our workers. A safe site is a happy site, and a happy site will always lead to a building well built.

GNG’s Safety Protocol

To ensure that our safety principles are consistently enacted, GNG has put in to place a structured protocol that puts safety first and foremost in our daily activities. This protocol includes;

The employment of a full time on site safety director
Daily safety meetings
OSHA safety trainings
Daily reports for any and all safety issues
The implementation of general safety standards

Other companies ignore safety regulations in an effort to cut corners. Not only does this defy our value system, GNG knows that on a practical level this will only causes injuries and project delays. Our commitment to safety is unwavering and we are committed to staying consistently up to date on all new safety practices and procedures.

“The Good News Group replaced hallway floors in the main building at Tumwater High School. After many years of use the old floor tiles were worn out and coming apart. There was also a layer of asbestos tiles that needed to be abated under the top layer. The team from GNG did this capably and in a timely manner. Even though it was a summer project, parts of the school, including the office, classrooms for summer and restrooms, had to remain open and accessible for students, staff and public to use. GNG handled the required phasing and control of their work area admirably. Their paperwork and records-keeping were very well done and pricing of change orders was fair. At the end of the project, the school is brighter, and the graphics incorporated into the floor are a nice touch adding school spirit.
