Project Description

The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) required a 3-month exterior repainting of seven properties. The project required the pressure washing of all properties, including exteriors, carport and storage sheds. Upon completing of the wash, a finishing coat of paint was applied to full exteriors including all resident entry doors.

Challenges

GNG had to complete this project while current tenants occupied all residences. Notice had to be given to all tenants for three separate phases; power washing, exterior painting and unit door painting. Finally, the project had to be completed on a tight schedule- 3 months during working days only.

Solutions

To ensure all tenants and project managers were satisfied with work scope, GNG provided a pre-construction meeting with each complex manager prior to the start of any and all work. GNG worked close with facility staff to create a plan and phasing schedule to ensure project completion time and safety standards for the facility’s population.

GNG generated and posted general notices and specific resident notices so proper preparations could be taken ahead of time. Weekly schedules were provided, and discussions with resident managers were implemented before moving into new phases of construction.

Results

The project was executed precisely according to all plans and preparations and work was completed on our precise timeline. GNG received excellent compliments from the upper management group upon completion of the work.
